Make sure you get the registration number, name and contact information of the other party that hit you in the accident as you will need all this information to process your claim with your insurer or accident management company. If the accident was your fault, then it is also very important to get all this data to ensure the claim is handled properly and no inaccuracies are reported by the other party. 
 
When processing your claim your insurance company will often request that your vehicle is repaired by one of their ‘Authorised Repairers’ however do not forget that you have final say over who repairs your car. Often their ‘Authorised Repairers’ will be a garage far away from home that is not suitable for you and we are here to help with this.
