Last month we donated some money to a really fantastic local car group, Clevedon Cars & Coffee. They run a variety of car meets & events in the local area along with having a huge input into the local community by bringing the automotive history of Clevedon into the spotlight. Last year they helped install the Stephens motorcar at 6 ways roundabout, you will have probably seen this driving through Clevedon!
The Stephens motorcar was the first entirely British designed & built production car in the country. Designed and built by Richard Stephens in 1987, 12 models were eventually produced of which 2 still remain today. Along with the model of the car at 6 ways roundabout we contributed some money towards the Stephens Memorial that has been organised by Mark Reber & the other members of Clevedon Cars & Coffee. This memorial is already installed at the site of the Stephens workshop, right here in the centre of Clevedon!
